The Government of Ireland Establishes the Irish Business Network in Jakarta
Jakarta, 30 May 2010 - The Irish government launched the Irish-Indonesian Business Dialogue Network – a forum to facilitate and promote bilateral relations and trade connections between Ireland and Indonesia – in Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta on May 26, 2010.
The meeting was chaired by HE Richard O'Brien, the Irish Ambassador to Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, and East Timor, and attended by key figures from Enterprise Ireland, other Irish business entities as well as their Indonesian counterparts.
According to O’Brien, the establishment of the network, which would later change into a division under the chamber of commerce Enterprise Ireland, hinted more investment be made by Irish companies in Indonesia in the future.

The Municipality of Wakatobi to Develop a Biodiversity Research Center with the Use of Microsoft's Latest Technology
Jakarta, 12 March 2010 - Located on the world's coral triangle center, Wakatobi is the coral-richest region in the world enjoying 750 different coral biodiversities under its sea. Realizing the importance of preserving environmental assets, the Wakatobi administration embraces the Government, researchers, and private sectors to work together to actively preserve those assets.
At the present time, the administration is building "the International Center of Excellence" for biodiversity research activities through the framework of Public Private Partnership (PPP).
CEO Briefing to Norwegian Investors
HD Asia Advisory CEO Bernardus Djonoputro briefed Norwegian investors and entrepreneurs on the latest development and investment opportunity in Indonesia, and in particular the Riau province. The briefing was held at a seminar organized by The Indonesian Embassy in Oslo, Norway on Monday, November 23, 2009 to boost the bilateral trade partnership between Indonesia and Norway.
The seminar which was held at the Scandic Hotel in Asker was officiated by the Indonesian Embassy's Charge d'Affaires Ad-Interim Mansyur Pangeran and head of Riau promotion and investment Feizal Qamar Qarim.
